About The Council

Parish Councils are the first tier of Local Government working at a local level. Arthuret Parish Council has a maximum membership of 15 councillors who live, work or has a business in the parish. They stand for election every 4 years; the last election was in May 2015. In different ways they are all actively involved in the community. Rev'd Brett Murpthy

Born and raised in Sydney, Australia, he trained for ministry and was ordained in Melbourne. The current Rector of the Esk Parishes, Arthuret, Kirkandrews and Nicholforest. He has a passion for social justice, with a focus on youth work and aged care.
