About The Council
Parish Councils are the first tier of Local Government working at a local level. Arthuret Parish Council has a maximum membership of 15 councillors who live, work or has a business in the parish. They stand for election every 4 years; the last election was in May 2015. In different ways they are all actively involved in the community. Sir James Graham Bart
The 7th Baronet of Netherby and the longest serving member of Arthuret Parish Council having served over 30 years. He is the President of Longtown Memorial Hall Community Centre.Gordon Routledge
The Vice chairman of the Parish Council and has served for 25years. He is chairman of the Amenities Committee and a member of the Christmas lights Working Group.Carol Adams
